Hoi An
In the past, Hoi An served as a major trading stop in Vietnam for Japanese, Chinese, Indian, and even Dutch traders up until the 17th century. Nowadays Hoi An caters more to seas of tourists who come to have cheap custom clothing made - a Hoi An specialty - or to simply enjoy 25-cent, locally-brewed beers by the river.
UNESCO declared Hoi An's Old Town district a World Heritage Site in 1999. Old clan houses, great shopping, charming footbridges, and lots of local culture make Hoi An a very interesting stop on the well-beaten north-south tourist trail.

Hanoi
Previously known as Thang Long, it was renamed Hanoi in 1831 at the time when Hue was the capital. As the cultural capital city of Vietnam, Hanoi is one of the most visited of the popular destinations, sprawling in the banks of the Red River with French colonial heritages, most foreigners on a short visit find Hanoi to be slow-paced, pleasant and even charming.
Throughout the thousand years of its eventful history, Hanoi still preserves many ancient architectural works including the Old Quarter and over 600 pagodas and temples. Famous sites include One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, Hanoi Citadel, Hanoi Opera House, President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum.

Ho Chi Minh (Saigon)
Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC for short), once called Saigon, is Vietnam's centre of commerce and the country's biggest city by far, though not its administrative capital – an honor that rests with Hanoi. The city's core is still adorned with wide elegant boulevards and historic French colonial buildings that cater Saigon tourists' eyes. Majority of these tourist spots are in District 1 and are a short leisurely distance away from each other.
The most prominent structures in Ho Chi Minh are Reunification Palace, City Hall, Municipal Theatre (also known as Opera House), City Post Office, State Bank Office, Cu Chi Tunnels and Notre-Dame Cathedral.

Hue
The city is originally established as the capital of unified Vietnam in 1802. Until 1945, Hue was not only the political but also the cultural and religious center of Vietnam during the Nguyen Dynasty.
The Perfume River winds its way through the city, the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City as well as the Inner Citadel, enriching this unique old capital with great natural lures. As the center of Buddhist worship in Vietnam, Hue is also home to many temples and tombs.

Halong Bay
Located in the northern province of Quang Ninh, Bai Tu Long National Park, which a stunning tourism spot with a rich ecosystem, comprises 40 islands, either earth or limestone, scattering across three communes, Ha Long, Van Yen and Minh Chau of Van Don district.The bay covers a total area of 15,783 hectares, including 6,125 hectares of land, and is home to 1,090 species of fauna and flora. The park is considered a priceless national treasure.

Danang
As the fourth largest city in Vietnam, Danang is the most significant seaport in central Vietnam. Once played a vital historical role in American-Vietnam War and having the world’s busiest airport, it is the landing site for the first American troops sent to Vietnam.
Now, Danang embraces many attractive beaches to boom its tourism. It also is favorably located near three world cultural heritage sites: Hue imperial city, Hoi An ancient town and My Son holy land. It also marks the northern limits of Vietnam's tropical zone and boasts a pleasant climate.
Nha Trang
Often called the Riviera of the South China Sea, Nha Trang has a long stretch of beautiful coastline; miles of white, sandy beaches with mountains at each end, framed by the dramatic backdrop of mountain ranges, as well as several other good beaches close by (Doc Let Beach, Dai Lanh Beach and Bai Tru Beach) and more than 19 islands (of which serene Bamboo Island is possibly the best-known).Photograph Nha Trang
Da Lat
Da Lat, known as ‘Le Petit Paris’ or ‘the Eternal Spring City’, is the gem of the Central Highliands in a rich region dotted with lakes, waterfalls, forests and gardens. It is about 300 kilometers north of Ho Chi Minh City.
The cool climate and the scenic environment make Da Lat a good place for escaping the tropical heat of the southern plains, and it is ranked as Vietnam’s most romantic honeymoon city.

Mui Ne
Mui Ne is an cozy, laid-back beach town featuring palm trees, white sand beaches, great seafood and a range of hotel options make it a great escape from daily grind.
Mui Ne also offers some exciting water based activities, including kite-surfing and windsurfing. You can hire a motorbike and cruise off to the photogenic red or white sand dunes, or get your feet wet at the fairy stream, or simply wake up early to take in a beautiful sunrise and watch last night’s catch unloaded on shore. With such a variety of options all within easy access to the town it is easy to see why Mui Ne is such a popular destination.

Phan Thiet
Phan Thiet is located in south of the Cam Ranh Bay on the southernmost part of Central Vietnam. There are some Cham ruins to see in the area, as the city used to be a part of the Cham kingdom.
The most notable Cham attraction in the area is the Cham Tower, a 13th century structure located on the road between the town and Mui Ne Beach. Most of the people who visit Phan Thiet come from Ho Chi Minh City, which is about 3 hours away. Now, Phan Thiet serves as a nice weekend destination.
Sapa

Lao Cai(Sapa)
Lao Cai province of northern Vietnam borders the province of Yunnan in the China. It is home to a number of different ethnic minorities that have lived in the area for centuries. Lao Cai has many historical sites, natural caves and produces agricultural specialties such as Bắc Hà plums.

Ninh Binh
Ninh Bình is the capital city of Ninh Bình Province, located in the Red River Delta of northern Vietnam, 93km south of Hanoi.
Ninh Bình City is a tourist center with many spectacular attractions nearby, such as Tam Coc, - Halong Bay on the rice paddies, Hoa Lu - the capital of Vietnam in ancient time, the holy Bai Dinh temple - the largest complex of Buddhist temples in Vietnam, Phat Diem Cathedral famous for its Sino-Vietnamese architectures, as well as Cuc Phong National Park and Dinh - Le temples. These make Ninh Binh tour become more and more popular.

It has a 12-km-long coastline with beautiful white sand beaches, close to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, a UNESCO's World Natural Heritage Site located 50 km north of Dong Hoi, as well as Phong Nha Cave.
Some important archaeological finds from the Neolithic period have been made in its vicinity. During the American War, Dong Hoi suffered extensive damage from booming. When you travel along Highway 1, north of the DMZ, note the old French Bunkers and US bomb craters lining the route; they’re especially plentiful near road and rail bridges.

Tay Ninh town, located approximately 90km from Ho Chi Mihn city (Saigon), serves as the headquarters of one of Vietnam’s most interesting indigenous religions, Caodaism. The Caodai Great Temple at the sect’s Holy See is one of the most striking structures in all of Asia. Built between 1933 and 1955, the temple is a rococo extravaganza combining the conflicting architectural idiosyncrasies of a French church, a Chinese pagoda, Hong Kong‘s Tiger Balm Gardens and Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum.
Tay Ninh is the capital of Tay Ninh province, bordered by Cambodia on three sides. The area’s dominant geographic feature is Nui Ba Den (Black Lady Mountain).
Mytho
Mytho is the quiet capital city of Tien Giang province in Vietnam, sprawling along the bank of the northernmost branch of the Mekong River. Mytho is the closest city in the Mekong Delta to HCMC (Saigon). Visitors come to Mytho to catch a glimpse of the famous river.
As one of the poorest cities in the richest Mekong Delta, Mytho was founded in the 1680s by Chinese refugees fleeing Taiwan for political reasons. The economy of Mytho is based on tourism, fishing and the cultivation of rice, coconuts, bananas, mangoes, longans and citrus fruit.
Boat trips are the highlight of Mytho tour. The small wooden vessels can navigate the mighty Mekong past the pleasant rural villages through the maze of small canals. Tourist can visit coconut candy workshop, honey-bee farm, orchid garden, etc.
